HPGL Viewer allows you to view, preview and analyze HPGL (Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language) directly on your Mac.

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.

2.1 Local File Processing
The primary function of HPGL Viewer is to render graphics locally on your device.

Files: Any HPGL (.plt, .hpg or .hpgl) you open are processed entirely on your Mac’s local file system.
No Server Upload: The application does not upload your drawings, designs, or coordinate data to any external server, cloud storage, or analytics platform.
Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel), crash reporters, or user tracking mechanisms within the application.

2.2 System Permissions
To function correctly, the app may request standard macOS permissions:

Files and Folders: The app requires permission to access the file you explicitly select via the macOS “Open File” dialog. It does not scan your hard drive or access files you have not selected.
It use the QuickLook extension for previewing files in the Finder using the space bar

3. Data Retention

Since we do not collect or store your data on our servers:

Retention Period: Not applicable for server-side data.
Local Cache: The app may store temporary rendering caches in your Mac’s local application support folder (~/Library/Application Support/hpgl-viewer) to improve loading speed. These files are specific to your device and are automatically cleaned up when the app is uninstalled or your system cache is cleared.

4. Third-Party Services

Our application relies solely on Apple’s native macOS frameworks and open-source libraries for rendering graphics. We do not integrate advertising networks or data brokers.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our service is intended for designers, artists, and enthusiasts. While there are no age restrictions, parents should supervise minors using the software to ensure they understand that the app accesses local files only upon explicit selection.
